2nd Annual VTPBS School-wide Information Forum Experiences Record Turnout
Over 250 educators and school support personnel registered for the 2nd Annual Vermont Positive Behavior Supports School-wide Information Forum. 38 school teams attended to hear Dr. George Sugai's stirring rendition of School-wide PBIS. As Co-Director for the Center for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, Dr. Sugai has long been engaged in research surrounding the efficacy of school-wide change efforts focused on improving behavior and strengthening school supports for children with emotional and behavior challenges. Dr. Robert Putnam, Senior Vice President for Consulting with the May Institute was also on hand to provide technical assistance to interested school teams. Members of the Vermont BEST Team described the process for schools to begin this work and outlined a learning series designed to prepare schools over the coming months for the intensive School-wide PBS training offered in June at the BEST Summer Institute.
